Our Chef's and Staff
With 30 years experience, our Executive Chef, Carmelo Santiago is excited to present his creative and unique plantain sandwiches to you. Our vision, as the Jibarito Time family, is to introduce as many people as we can to Chicago's greatest creation- the Jibarito (Plantain Sandwich). Our caring and committed staff will ensure you have a fantastic experience with us.
GLUTEN FREE
Most menu items that include plantains are gluten free! However, if you have Celiac or are severely allergic to gluten, please let us know so we can properly accommodate you!
Some items on our menu that contain gluten ( breaded chicken strips, breaded chicken breast, etc.) are also deep fried. So, for anyone with severe allergies or Celiac, we would not only fry your plantains in a separate oil that is ONLY used for non-gluten items, but we can also ensure that your food will be handled carefully (no cross-contamination).
We hope to continue to build our gluten free customer base and enjoy the thought of everyone being able to eat their favorite, juicy burger, Italian, or any of our sandwiches that they choose without any worries!
